The Cheapest Growth Lever You're Not Using
You don't always need more buyers to make more money. You need each buyer to spend a little more. The single easiest way to do that is the line every big store uses:
"Free shipping on orders over 750 EGP."
A buyer with 600 EGP in the cart sees that and thinks "let me add one more thing to skip the delivery fee." You just turned a 600 EGP order into an 800 EGP order — and the 30 EGP shipping you "gave up" is tiny next to the extra 200 EGP they spent.
The Fix: A Free-Shipping Threshold
sellX has this built in. You set one number — the order subtotal at which delivery becomes free — and the storefront does the rest, including showing buyers how close they are.
Free shipping works on all plans (it lives in your delivery settings).
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Open Delivery settings
From the dashboard, open Settings, then click the Delivery tab.

2. Set your threshold
Find "Free shipping over (EGP)" and enter the amount. Leave it empty to turn the offer off.
Pick a number a bit above your current average order — if most orders are around 500 EGP, set the threshold to 700–800. High enough to push spend, close enough to feel reachable.
3. Save
That's it. The threshold is now live across your store.
What the Buyer Sees
On the cart and checkout, buyers see a gentle progress nudge:
Add 150 EGP more to get free shipping 🚚
The moment their subtotal crosses your threshold, the delivery fee drops to zero automatically. No code, no coupon — it just happens.
Why It Works
1. It reframes "spend more" as "save money"
Buyers hate paying for shipping more than they mind spending on products. Free shipping lets them feel like they won.
2. It lifts your average order value
Even a small bump — 500 to 650 EGP on average — compounds across every order, every day.
3. It pairs perfectly with order bumps
A buyer trying to reach the threshold is the most receptive moment for a one-tap add-on.
Tips
- Set it just above your average. Too high and nobody reaches it; too low and you give away shipping for free.
- Combine with a clear delivery fee. Buyers need to see the shipping cost for "free shipping" to feel like a reward — make sure your per-governorate fees are set.
- Test it for a month. Watch your average order value before and after. Adjust the number up if everyone's hitting it easily.
The Bottom Line
One number in your settings, and every buyer has a reason to add one more item. It's the lowest-effort, highest-return lever in the whole store.
